Welcome to RanDJ. By downloading or using RanDJ you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
RanDJ is an iPhone app with an AI-powered DJ that picks and plays songs from Apple Music for you and talks between them, including answering your messages. Music plays through Apple Music, so an active Apple Music subscription is required, and Apple’s terms apply to your use of Apple Music.
2. Your account
You create an account with Sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity under it. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
3. AI-generated content
What the DJ says is generated by AI in real time and may be inaccurate, incomplete or occasionally inappropriate. Background on songs and artists is for entertainment and is not a statement of fact or advice. The DJ is not a person and has no professional qualifications; do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.
4. What you send
You are responsible for the messages and voice notes you send. Do not send unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content, try to make the DJ produce such content, or interfere with or attack the service. We process what you send to run the service (see the Privacy Policy) but do not take ownership of it.
5. Talk time and purchases
- The DJ’s talk time is metered only while it speaks; music does not count. Every account gets free talk time each day, reset at midnight; the free amount may change.
- You can buy talk-time packs in the app. Packs are consumable, do not expire, and are used after the day’s free time runs out.
- Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple’s rules govern payment and refunds; request refunds from Apple. We may remove talk time from your account for purchases that are refunded.
- Talk time can only be used in RanDJ, has no cash value, and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Unused talk time is forfeited when you delete your account.
6. Changes to the service
We keep improving RanDJ and may add, change or remove features. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, network problems or third-party services such as Apple Music and AI providers. If we decide to shut the service down, we will give notice in the app.
7. Termination
We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms. You may stop using RanDJ and delete your account at any time.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, text and the DJ’s voice are owned by us or our licensors. Music and artwork belong to their respective owners and are provided through Apple Music.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
RanDJ is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, RanDJ. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for RanDJ in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for RanDJ or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms prevail.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date on this page. We will tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use RanDJ after changes take effect means you accept them.
